A beautiful reprinting of Gustave Dore's illustrations from his 1872 publication "London: A Pilgrimage." This 384-page volume reprints all 180 of Dore's woodcut illustrations and interposes them with writings by contemporary Victorian writers such as Dickens, Wilde, and Trollope. All nicely printed on cream colored paper, in an illustrated binding, and with dust jacket. Book is fine in a very good jacket.
Small closed puncture on front of dust jacket of about .25", a second .25" tear to lower right corner of jacket, and a 1.5 inch tear at the bottom of the jacket spine.
